Why is West Amwell at war with South?
The short answer is that the district is failing in its mission to provide a thorough and efficient SYSTEM of public education. To add insult to injury, it is doing so at an exorbitant cost.
65 cents of every tax dollar collected by West Amwell goes into the coffers of the school district. The remainder is split evenly between the Township and the County.
Construction Referendum
In the runup to the referendum the Township sent a letter to all residents in opposition it can be had here.
Following the passage of the referendum the Township filed suit and issued a statement, which can be had here.
